Why Test With Us

ENJOY PEACE OF MIND WITH EVERY TEST

Good water care starts with good information. Our Water Lab gives you a clear picture of what's happening in your pool or hot tub, so you're not guessing at what to add or how much you need.

And because we test your water, we can also help you choose the right products, understand how to use them, and make adjustments based on your next water test.

Bringing In Your Sample

A few small details make a big difference in how reliable your results are.

Avoid Rainy Days. Rainwater throws off the reading. If it's actively raining, wait for a dry day before collecting your sample.

Use A Clean Container. Plastic or glass both work, just make sure it's clean and hasn't held anything but water before.

Test Within 2 Hours. The longer a sample sits, the more light, heat, and the container itself can skew the result.

Take A Deep Sample. Collect from elbow-depth, away from jets or skimmers, for the most accurate picture of your water.

Wait 48 Hours After Chemicals. Give any chemicals you've added at least 48 hours to fully circulate before testing.

Ensure Circulation. Your pool or hot tub should be circulating for at least 24 hours before testing. Stagnant water won't give an accurate read.

Lab-Grade Precision

What We Test For

Complex factors that require real lab equipment.

Phosphates

High phosphates can fuel algae growth and make water harder to keep clear. They can also contribute to deposits that may affect equipment performance and longevity over time.

Iron & Copper

Metals that can stain surfaces or tint water, often introduced through fill water or certain chemicals. High levels may indicate equipment damage and can also contribute to deposits and damage to heaters and other equipment over time.

Salt Levels

Critical for salt system owners, where the wrong salt level means the system can't generate chlorine properly.

Calcium Hardness

Water that's too soft can be corrosive to equipment; too hard, and it can leave scale on surfaces.

Stabilizer (CYA)

Cyanuric acid protects chlorine from sunlight, but too much can make your sanitizer far less effective.

Know Before You Go

Common Results, And What They Mean

Most samples come back needing at least one adjustment — here's what that usually looks like.

Low Sanitizer

Chlorine, salt, or bromine below range usually means it's time for a shock treatment.

Shop Pool Shock

High pH

Water that's too alkaline can irritate skin, cloud water, and cause mineral buildup that can affect heaters and other equipment over time.

Shop Balancers

High Phosphates

A common food source for algae, even when sanitizer levels look fine. High phosphates can also contribute to buildup on surfaces and equipment, affecting performance and longevity.

Shop Remedy

High Stabilizer

Too much CYA can make your chlorine less effective. The best way to lower it is usually to partially drain and refill your pool with fresh water.

WATER LAB TESTS

Three Reasons
You Should Test With Us

Test strips and basic home kits can't measure everything, and their readings often aren't precise enough for manufacturers to accept for warranty claims.

01

Protects Your Warranty

Every test is logged to a digital record, giving you the documentation manufacturers ask for if a warranty claim ever comes up.

Tests What Home Kits Can't

Lab-grade equipment reads factors most test strips simply aren't built to measure accurately.
